  1. Becki,

The video is very encouraging. I believe persons with disabilities and their parents will find the video extremely supportive because the advocate has been fighting for the cause for several years. She is 70 years old and still fighting to make a better coalition by being proactive via the Internet.

The manual is an excellent tool to guide parents through the process of acquiring special services for their child/children. It answers so many possible questions and scenarios. I think the step by step informational process is an outstanding way to gradually inform parents of each stage. As you stated, even though this manual is written for Texas, other states can benefit by following the same format.

Advocacy Inc. has outstanding priorities that are a central concern to most persons with disabilities. Their priorities are identical to transition goals for students leaving high school. The site provides information on several important topics for persons with disabilities. Excellent information for Parent Advocacy!
